Summary
Based on the original Robotech TV series, The Macross Saga takes place after the alien Zentraedi invasion in an epic tale of war and destruction. Take control of the Veritech Valkyrie, an awesome transformable fighting machine, and defend what is rightly yours. Remember, you're Earth's last hope and the only defence against the world's most powerful enemy.
In this 2D shooter, players can choose prominent characters from the series such as Rick Hunter, Roy Fokker, Max Sterling and Myria Sterling. Your objective is simply to defeat the Zentraedi forces who launch an awesome assault on the SDF-1. And yes, it's as hard as it sounds, though not as complicated as you might think.
But at least you can transform your fighter to attack the enemy by both land and air. Your missions will vary throughout The Macross Saga and will comprise of numerous offensive and defensive challenges. Each level has been inspired by an episode from the original series, so ardent fans will at least feel familiar with the Robotech game world, and newcomers will appreciate the detailed environment and intriguing storyline. Ultimately, your job is to protect Earth, protect the SDF-1, and most importantly, stay alive!
