Summary

Meet the Flintstones for the first time on the Game Boy Advance. For this cartoon excursion on Nintendo’s portable console, our hero Fred has to do battle with the evil Dr. Sinister, a villain that was supposed to have been wiped out in his secret hideaway, but wasn’t. Dr. Sinister is very much alive, and to make matters worse, he has captured Fred’s best pal Barney Rubble. In this game you must help Fred to rescue Barney and put an end to Dr. Sinister's plans once and for all.

The Flintstones – Trouble in Bedrock is a traditional platform adventure similar in style to Nintendo’s classic platformer Super Mario Bros. Gamers must navigate the obstacle-infested levels while avoiding Dr. Sinister’s enemy cronies. Baddies range from paper throwing delivery boys, to rock-dropping pterodactyls to flame-throwing barbecues. Like most platformers, timing your jumps and anticipating the correct move at the right time is paramount to success.

Luckily, our chubby hero has a few tricks up his sleeves to help him on his quest. Fred can make use of bowling balls and baseball bats to deal out punishing blows to anybody silly enough to stand in his path.

Trouble in Bedrock has a very colourful, cartoony visual appearance like the television series. It’s a game for the younger players amongst us and consequently offers a fun experience.
