Summary

One of the world’s most loved/loathed animated characters has made a comeback for the new millennium, but not just on TV. That’s right, Woody Woodpecker has arrived on PlayStation 2 in Escape from Buzzard’s Park. Oh my!

So, what’s his latest outing all about? Buzz Buzzard is up to more nasty tricks and you are the only Woodpecker in the galaxy with the capability to neutralise the threat. So join Woody and his nephews in challenging Buzz Buzzard in the vile vulture’s crazy theme park. Hop on board rockets and take a ride on the ghost train, but watch out for those traps that Buzz and his pesky pals have placed in your path.

In Escape from Buzzard’s Park, you can play as all three leading characters from the cartoon - Woody, Knothead and Splinter. Dash around unbelievable 3D real-time environments, with incredible special effects.

There’s plenty of fun to be had with this game, including over 30 levels of humorous and challenging gameplay. And the later levels are far from small. You’ll need to master the controls and perfect your timing if you want to escape from the park.

Woody Woodpecker is similar to Nintendo’s classic Super Mario 64, a game most hardcore players regard as an all-time classic. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many really good 3D platformers on PlayStation 2, but with games like this, that situation is changing for the better. Playing games is all about having fun. Woody Woodpecker for PlayStation 2 is a fine example.
