Summary

3DO's plastic toy fanatics have unleashed another wave of Army Men. This time, their target is Game Boy Advance with the release of Operation Green.

Again, the Tan and Green armies are battling for world domination/world peace in a good, old-fashioned retro strategy game. Very much like the original Command and Conquer games, players must navigate teams of plastic soldiers through a variety of enemy-infested environments. Using the terrain and obstacles as a means of gaining the advantage, you must decide when to hide and when to shoot.

3DO has focused very much upon the computer AI of Operation Green, and the Tan Army is smarter than it’s ever been. You’ll need plenty of stealth-based strategic nous to succeed in any of the 17 levels. Within each level, your goal is to locate and destroy a secret and deadly device before it can be used to inflict serious harm on the Army Men universe and its plastic inhabitants.

Using simple up/down/left/right/fire controls, players are able to take control of several key vehicles such as jeeps, cargo trucks and heavily armoured tanks. Weapons range from knives to M60 machine guns, but in the end, only clever tactics will make you a successful Green Army leader.

Come on Army Men fans, you should have what it takes by now.
