Summary

Microsoft is well known for its series of simulators and its ability to develop them as accurately as possible. Whether it be a Train Simulator or a Flight Simulator, you can always rely on the super-sized company to deliver. Now, the hugely popular Links series of golf games has gone gold, and it’s been imaginatively titled Links LS Classic for PC.

It is true that many other golf games are comprehensive, but none of them have such a wide range of variables. From wind direction to foot positioning, this game is truly a full-on experience.

Sure, a little patience and practice is needed before players can achieve a full round under par, but it’s all part of the game’s learning process.

What is striking about Links LS Classic is its substantial longevity. The game possesses a colossal 21 18-hole courses, that’s a massive 378 holes altogether, and that’s a lot of swinging. To complement this, there are also some 12 amateur golfers and an astonishing 35 modes of play that include stroke, matchplay and skins. Phew!

The gameplay physics are extremely accurate, and while they take a little getting used to, they only help improve the experience of playing such a polished golf game. Lovely.
