Summary

Aussie Rules Coach is the most innovative sports management game in years. It places you in control of an Australian Rules Football team - on and off the pitch - combining the best features of Sports Management Simulation with Sports Arcade Action, introducing a whole new concept in sports management.

Real-time strategy management allows the player to become coach and dictate the playing styles of each player in their team, individually, or in groups. The players' behaviour is directly controlled by the coach's tactical suggestions, as if shouted from the touchline. Sophisticated Artificial Intelligence means that the players not only respond to their surroundings in a convincing manner, they also incorporate your orders into their game playing style.

All the players have a full range of statistics and abilities, which determines how they play, react and perform to their environment and the coach's orders. The user's coaching commands are interpreted in a unique way by each individual player according to their own set of internal rules and skill sets. The worst player on the pitch could be ordered to try and score with long shots, but you'll get better results if you tell him to wait until he is nearer the goal. Better players can be encouraged to take more risks though, as with improved skills, they are more likely to succeed in risky plays.

And of course, the managers of the other teams have their own unique tactics and mentalities, using the very same commands which are available to you. It's a challenge alright, and a refreshing change too.
