Rewind to 1998, and you'll remember that the original was the first game to offer players a third person perspective, giving their gameplay a depth and authenticity that had only been hinted at with other football games. The sequel develops this even further, so you can expect the slickest soccer experience yet on the PlayStation.

This time, you can create your own player to your specific requirements, from height to hair colour. Once you've got your player up to speed in the Practice Mode, you'd better make sure your feet and your brain cells are firing on all cylinders. The reason being that this game is as much about fancy footwork as mental concentration and a talent for tactics. Once you've progressed through the ranks, the ultimate challenge lies in the World League in which you play as one of the 32 international teams, playing both home and away games against each team - a total of 62 physically exhausting and mentally draining games.
