Summary

The arcade classic Ghosts N Goblins has finally been converted for the Game Boy Color. You are Prince Arthur and your mission is to save the Princess from the hands of Satan. There are seven dangerous levels to make it through and many enemies to defeat, but if your heart is true, you shall prevail.

Ghosts ‘N Goblins is a 2D platformer of the highest quality, a template for many games that came afterwards. It has been more than 15 years since this game was launched in the arcades and in many ways it is just as good as modern day platformers. It has it all: a worthwhile cause, good level design, tricky situations and most importantly, a good challenge. It will take some perseverance to complete this title.

Arthur has several weapons available to him throughout the game but he can only carry one at a time. Sometimes when you kill enemies, they leave new items, and others can found by jumping in certain locations. Each weapon has it pros and cons: for example, knives travel quickly when thrown, but they do little damage.

There is a catch, however. In order to kill Beelzebub, you must use the cross, and you can only find this weapon the second time you play through the game. Be careful not to lose this powerful, but short-range weapon as you’ll need it to save your princess. Good luck.
