The UEFA Challenge has finally made it onto the PC. Fans of the beautiful game will have the chance to see if they can take their team the very top of the prestigious European competition. What makes this game special is that it features all of the very best teams from all over Europe and all the international superstar players that play for them. Following the success of UEFA Striker, Challenge boasts the use of all the real names, clubs and stadia from the 2001 event and brings them into your home.
UEFA Challenge has a number of features that enhance the gameplay and bring the game to life. For the first time in a football game you will be able to see if players are injured form how they are acting on the pitch. If you see them limping or running slowly it’s time to make that substitution. A lot of attention has been paid to the stadia (over 40 of them) and the crowds. The crowds respond realistically to what is happening on the field. You can literally feel the atmosphere.
If your PC is up to it, UEFA Challenge has the potential to look shockingly good. Depending on the maximum resolution of your graphics card and your monitor, UEFA Challenge can be set-up to equal almost television presentation. You can even see a real time video wall in the background showing highlights of the match.
The gameplay is more balanced towards a simulation style of play. This means that it will take you slightly longer to learn the controls and techniques, but ultimately it will be more rewarding when you do. Add the fact that the PC version can be networked, you’re in for some seriously good games of football.
