Summary

Robot Warlords offers you the chance to take control of armies of giant mechs and move them around in environments similar to that in a board game. For a game whose main aim is obviously to be fun to play, Robot Warlords has a story line that is distinctly epic and involving.

Factions within the army are attempting a coup d’etat, riding around in robots that go by the name of Bullet. Working for the Government, you must act as pilot for one of the Bullets, and successfully execute a mission to destroy enemy forces before mayhem breaks out.

Set in Japan, the stunningly rendered 3D environments are faithful to a near-future Tokyo. When beginning a battle, orders carried out are demonstrated in lovely high-resolution sequences that use the real power of the console. On the strategy map, where most of the action takes place, you will be able to fully explore your current location, making you aware of any hazards you may encounter.

Also included in the game are multi-player modes, battle modes, and even a garage mode, where you’ll be able to tune and customise your mech. There are many variables to consider when participating in a battle, including weapons range, movement, speed and power. All considered, you will ultimately find Robot Warlords a huge tactical adventure.
