Summary

Grand Prix 3 is back on the PC and this time it is unofficial. Many people, including us, regard Geoff Cramond’s Grand Prix series as the definitive Formula 1 experience. Formula 1 is a dangerous, fast, exciting sport where people risk their lives for championship points and money. When Grand Prix 3 came out it stunned the gaming world with its realistic simulation gameplay and excellent graphics.

There was only one small problem with Grand Prix 3 when it was launched and that was its driver and season data was slightly out of date. Grand Prix 3 came out in 2000 and it used the 1998 season data. In the exciting world of Formula 1, things change very quickly. In 1999 and 2000, two new tracks were introduced to the F1 calendar. The Grand Prix debuted at Sepang in Malaysia and made a return to the U.S.A in the Indianapolis race. Minor changes were also made to Monza in Italy, that unfortunately resulted in an accident in which a marshal was killed.

If you own Grand Prix 3 and you would like to race on the latest aforementioned Formula 1 courses then this unofficial add-on pack could be ideal for you. Not only do you get the new tracks and course modifications but you can tweak every single aspect of the gameplay. Everything from engine output to grip to the graphics used on the cars. You make the game easier or harder depending on how you feel.
