Road Champs BXS Stunt Biking on the Game Boy Colour is a fun BMX simulation game. Following hot on the heels of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 this game is very similar to the aforementioned title except replace the skateboards with off-road bikes. This game has lots of playability with insane tricks to complement the action.
The graphics are well drawn for Nintendos 8-bit handheld console. Colourful and detailed graphics with enough animation on your biker for you to make out what tricks he his doing without the names being displayed on screen.
Road Champs BXS Stunt Biking teaches you its gameplay when you first start to play it. There are several tutorial lessons that teach the basics of riding your bike and how to perform the various tricks on offer. There are over 50 different tricks in this game that can be done on various parts of the environment. Grinds, flips, stalls are all here and some of the hard tricks require combinations of d-pad movements and timed button presses. You will have to earn these tricks by completing the training levels.
Road Champs BXS Stunt Biking features four modes of play on twenty-seven different courses. There is a lot of game here on such a small cartridge. Add the bonus of being able to take this title wherever you go and its appeal is apparent. Be warned, you could easily miss your bus stop or miss your turn in the dentists waiting room. Overall, a well presented enjoyable game.
