Summary
Like platform shoes and body hair on women, Action Man has made a come back from seventies obscurity to toy shop shelf supremacy. Action Man Jungle Storm is the latest PC title featuring the doll, or as we’re sure your little ‘un will no doubt insist, action figure.
The game is controlled using the mouse and consists of various side scrolling shooting levels with Action Man in his personal Stealth Fighter or in his scuba outfit. There are also levels, which see Action Man take to his Skateboard Extreme. Tony Hawk eat your heart out. After every Stealth Fighter level there is a free-fall into parachute level in which Action Man declares “gravity rules!” When the end of level boss is reached the game takes a Gryzor twist with the boss hovering overhead and Action Man shooting up at him.
Each level begins with Action Man at mission control HQ. There are various multimedia options here that come with the game, most of which revolve around the printer. After each level is completed Action Man has the ability to print rendered images of how the adventure panned out.
