Summary

Tweety’s Highflying Adventure is the latest in a long list of Warner Bros licensed games to come from Kemco over the past ten years. It’s a platformer, starring the slightly annoying Tweety Pie. In this instalment of cartoon fun, Tweety is charged with saving a park in London from closure. To do this he must win the favour of the eccentric millionaire Colonel Rimfire. Strangely, the only way this can be achieved is to prove that he is smarter than cats by knocking them out with a variety of weapons and taking a copy of their paw prints.

The game starts with a lengthy training session from Granny. She runs Tweety through the finer points of getting around and explains how to nobble the cats. This can be done by collecting items such as mallets, bananas and newspapers, and assaulting the unwitting felines accordingly.

The game plays well with Tweety feeling bright and responsive to control. Although the game is aimed at a younger audience, if you like platformers, you could do a lot worse than this. The game is equipped with a save function thanks to the large battery housed in the cartridge. There is also a two-player battle mode in which two linked players battle to take the most paw prints within a time limit.
