Railroad Tycoon 2: The Second Century - PC

When the tycoon series was originally launched, a series of individual games arose based around the strategy management genre. Railroad Tycoon proved popular enough to warrant a sequel, and such was the popularity of the sequel, that an expansion was also created called Railroad Tycoon: The Second Century.

To bring a series set so far in the past up to date, PopTop decided to span this expansion pack across nearly 100 years, from 1939 to 2030. Because of the time span and environmental changes that occur over time, there is a wide range of building designs, set to coincide with a suitable environment. Also, as you progress through time, you will come across faster and newer trains, including the French TGV Bullet and other Hi-Tec train types.

New for this expansion pack are 15 brand new stand-alone scenarios, each one different from the next. Also, the effect of global warming can be seen in time, here. In the more futuristic levels, there is a flooded America and a melted Antarctica, and you must use the altered environments to your own advantage. For an expansion pack, there are a lot of new features. In fact, Railroad Tycoon 2: The Second Century could almost be described as a second sequel.
