There are many games available on the shelves today that would be considered sick, twisted, and simply evil by the general public. Requiem: Avenging Angel could be considered to be one of these titles. This game is a full 3D first person shoot-em-up from 3DO studios, and promises to quite a controversial title.
In Requiem: Avenging Angel, you take on the holy role of Malechi, a loyal angel sent to earth in an attempt to prevent hells minions from taking over the planet. During your adventure, you will travel to locations all over the globe and elsewhere. There are sick netherworlds to delve into, and in contrast, futuristic cities to explore. You must use your wits, along with your weaponry and angelic powers to defeat some of the utterly disgusting foes you will come across. As an angel you have some truly extraordinary powers to play around with, including the ability to turn your foes into salt. Strange. Any game that is capable of provoking a physical reaction of fright into the player is worth respect, and Requiem does just that.
Included in Requiem is a multi-player Internet option, whereby you can join up to seven other players and compete in these weird and wonderful worlds. So, Requiem: Avenging Angel is quite the scary little title it was set out to be. Mission accomplished 3DO.
