Summary

Star Trek has to be one of the most successful science fiction series. It has been around for over thirty years so far and has produced no less than nine films. Gene Roddenbury had a vision of a future where own societal differences had been worked out and humanity worked together to explore the universe. Unfortunately, not everyone out there is like us. If you are a fan of the series (or even not) this game is cool. After the Dominion war a strange peace has settled between the Federation, the Romulans and the Klingons. On the outskirts of deep space large metallic ships move silently, the sound of a million voices working as one. The Borg are our most deadly enemy, their misguided pursuit of perfection causing assimilation and annihilation.

In Star Trek Armada you can choose to be one of the four aforementioned races. Each species has it’s own objectives and missions that link very closely with the series. For example the Borg are trying to locate the ‘Omega’ particle, a story from the late on in the Voyager show. This is a real time strategy game and gives you the control over the universe that is so richly appreciated. We at the offices think there should be a better ratio of battles to character development in the series and this game allows you to do whatever you like. You need to mine dilithium to provide energy for fleet, build starships, bases and then take part in the greatest space battles ever seen. With plenty of mission diversity and Star Trek legends, Armada is one great game. Resistance is and always been , futile.
