Summary

Have you ever longed for a fun portable racing adventure game featuring great characters? Well, even if haven’t you’re in for a treat here. Introducing Mickey’s Racing Adventure for the Gameboy Color. This is one quality title that somehow manages to squeeze a huge adventure into one small cartridge. Would you expect anything less from Disney or Rare? In Mickey’s Adventure the evil Pete can’t stand to see Mickey and his pals enjoy themselves. You see there is a carnival coming up and Professor Von Drake has made floats for everyone to decorate. In a jealous rage Pete and his gang steal all of the floats. “If you want your stuff back you’ll have to beat my cronies!”

One of the first things that strikes you about this game is how well presented and colourful it is. The sprites are big and the animation is top class. There are plenty of puzzles to solve and characters to interact with. The game also explains itself to you as you make progress. The music is well done and enjoyable with a decent amount of variety. The racing side is great and will keep you entertained for a long time. It takes time to learn the tracks and the racing lines. There are times when your vehicle will change mid race into a boat to help you over the rivers. The money that you win from races can be used to buy upgrades, spells or even new vehicles. All in all, Mickey’s Racing Adventure is one of the best games for the Gameboy.
