Vitrual Pool 2 for the PC claims to be the ultimate 3D pool simulator. It’s not far off from being correct. The original Virtual Pool sold well over two million copies because it was a quality game and very enjoyable. Over 8,000 hours have been invested in this sequel to improve nearly every aspect of the gameplay. The graphics are detailed and smooth and support for multiple resolutions has been included. If you own a 3D card, Virtual Pool 2 uses Direct 3D to give optimum image quality complete with lighting effects.
If you are new to the game of pool, there are several tutorial videos that explain every aspect of the game to you. It’s important to understand how side and spin affect the cue-ball’s direction after it makes contact with the object ball. When you start to understand the angles of the table and how to change them, pool becomes a completely different game. Every shot that you can do in real life can be replicated here. Masse shots (where the ball swerves), jump shots they’re all here waiting for you to master. The trick shot videos are compelling viewing and give you some great ideas.
