Summary

Here's your chance to become 'Big' George Foreman - forget the Lean Mean Fat Reducing Machine - this game originates from before the days of Foreman's food preparation skills, and concentrates on one of the greatest comebacks in boxing history. It is up to you to get old George one more shot at the Heavyweight title. It won't be easy, as there are 15 boxers in your way, each with very different attributes, personalities and special punches.

Once you start playing George Foreman's KO Boxing, it is very hard to put the control pad down. The game is played from a third person perspective. Controlling George is straightforward enough: the big man has two punches (left and right), which can be directed towards the body or the head of an opponent. George's special punch is the left-hook, which you must remember to time to perfection otherwise the only place you will be going is the canvas. Your health is signalled between rounds and can be determined by the face of your boxer. The more an opponent hits you, the worse condition your face will appear.

For the period and platform, the game is graphically very good, with the boxers having a distinct cartoon feel about them which adds an element of humour. There is little or no music, but the sound effects are authentic and really do suit a game of this genre.
