SPOnG: Can you say anything about any other Live Anywhere-enabled titles currently in development?
Mitch Gitelman Halo 2 is coming out for Games for Windows Live, roughly around the same time as Shadowrun… and beyond that, hopefully there will be a few more announcements pretty soon about other Live Anywhere titles. Plus I believe there are a number of developers working on cross-platform games as well… because you know, Games for Windows Live really isn’t about ‘cross-platform’ it’s about bringing all the features of Xbox Live across to Windows. And we just happen to be also blending them as well with some titles such as Shadowrun.
SPOnG: One of the other things that Peter Moore talked
about at E3 last year, was bringing mobile into the Live Anywhere equation…
Mitch Gitelman That’s right, yeah.
SPOnG: Is FASA developing any games with these kind of Live Anywhere mobile elements involved in them?
Mitch Gitelman Could be [grins] but I can’t tell you any details on that right now.
SPOnG: Will we hear anything at E3 this year?
Mitch Gitelman Aaah, E3. I will probably be drunk at E3.
SPOnG: Great, we’ll catch you when you’re drunk!
Mitch Gitelman Heh, I’m just not sure what we’ll be talking about at E3 right now. It’s not that I’m being deliberately cagey; I just don’t know the answer to that one yet.
Right now, all the focus is on getting this game out. There’s nothing I really like more at the moment than demo’ing the game and seeing the penny drop on gamer’s faces… When they get the hang of the controls you can really see that ‘I get it’ smile. That’s great.
SPOnG: Right, we’d better get some Shadowrun practice in then.
Mitch Gitelman Yep, it’s a fast game, you need your wits about you, no mistake.
SPOnG: Thanks for your time Mitch.
Mitch Gitelman No problem, enjoy the game.
