Mathematiques Appliquees (MASA) is a 4 year old European company with offices in Paris (FR) and Brighton (UK), and representatives in New-York (USA) and Hong-Kong (CHN). MASA targets consumer and industrial markets with a set of exclusive technologies in artificial life and optimization, and more recently has worked closely with the French armed forces.
MASA's videogame division has been working for 16 months for the production phase on the PC platform, which consisted mostly in building the right basics: productive and innovative engines, strong scenario, cutting edge graphics, and well-balanced gameplay. The team consists of 30 people (with 15 full time), all of them with several years of experience in development, design and graphics in videogames. This team is backed by several researchers hired from some of the world's best rated laboratories in cognitive sciences, who helped design the innovative AI engine innovations. The team is also working closely with MASA's Tools Group for the implementation of DirectIA® newest versions.
Mathematiques Appliquees SA's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2001 title, "Conflict Zone" (PC).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC and Dreamcast.
