Just a game? You've played similar games before?

That only means that you've become desensitized to the horrific violence this game portrays. Mass murder of unarmed, unsuspecting, innocent men, women, children.... you call that fun? Entertaining?

Wait till a REAL assassination squad goes through your neighborhood, killing family members, or your friends. Then come back an talk about it being "just a game", if you are lucky enough to survive.

The sad thing is that this "game" is really just about exploiting socially unstable or psychotic people for money, or making training films for the truly fanatical. Where do you draw the line? Raping babies? Sadistic torture? How low are you willing to stoop just to entertain yourself? Or to make a buck?

Well I really don't appreciate this scene but I know it's a game and the COD staff makes it the way they want. It's still pretty intense and I still want to see how you can skip it. I'm not exactly 18 (4 years younger) but I didn't expect this from COD Modern Warfare 2. I told my father the only bad thing about the game is the blood and language really. Guess I was wrong.........

I've seen more gory games than this but killing CIVILIANS just makes it worse than gore for some reason. The gory games, most of the time the person is a bad guy or a monster.

I've played all the games in the series. How is walking through an airport shooting people establish the potent "Evil"? It's over the line. Fun? Not to me. Give me real war environment to fight through. Give me a aliens to blow up. Why were none of the civilians trying to fight back? It just wasn't needed for the game.

@Edward , now if only all the religious fanatics reacted like that to similar scenes from the bible and stopped getting it and imposing it on impressionable children we would have a better world.

@GreyGeek While I am sure whoever goes through said incidents would be upset to see something like that happen, then they shouldn't put themselves in the situation to have to mentally re-live said moments. No one is forcing them to play the game. Nor is the game flashing "GO KILL PEOPLE" across the screen. It falls on responsible adults to guide impressionable young minds away from such things. I am very aware of the consequences of taking an other persons life. I would not wish to ever put myself in the situation which would require me to do so or to have done to me. If some unstable psychotic mind really wants to do those things, they are going to do it regardless of a video game. The scene, like a book, sets the tone for the game. There are always going to be exceptional cases. I am sure if a group of sick-twisted game developers wanted to write a game about raping babies, they would do it. Would it sell? I hope not. And I am pretty sure that someone else would claim "justification" in ending their lives should such a game ever be created. Point being, no one is forcing people to play this game. Let them create the game and let it play out for itself. If people don't like it, it wont sell. Could it be bad-taste on Activisions part? Possibly. We are all entitled to our opinions and the right to voice them. And mine is again that it is just a game.
wow.

Well I'm not going to buy that game.

I find it interesting the leaker didn't take any efforts to disguise his reflection in the tv screen.

Just saying, leaking IP is bad too.

Really? You are upset because of the slaughter of innocent pixels? If parents think this is too violent for their kids, don't let them play it. It is not the governments responsibility, the companies, or mine to raise your kids. If you're kids are little bastards that's your fault for being a bad parent.

This is BY FAR not the only game to allow the slaughter of innocent people. If you think it is, go read a video game history book.

One student makes a single map for counterstrike remotely resembling his high school and he's arrested.

A game company makes a game where you launch a full-scale assault on a civilian airport and mow down innocents wholesale with no resistance, and it's acceptable? Slaughtering waves of swat teams with grenades is smiled upon?

A scene like this, just as graphic and lengthy, in a movie would cause an uproar (3:32-3:38 in particular I think), no matter the rating. Yet this is in a game. More than a movie, this is your hand pulling the 'trigger' and ending their 'lives'.

It's barely a 'game' by definition - there's no challenge, apparently limitless ammo, no skill - just a massacre. A million police to kill, and the character dies once. It's like seeing into a terrorist's dreams; nothing but easy murder.

Realism is a great goal. This is realism taken to extremes. It's unnecessary.

Thankfully, I can simply refuse to buy the game and be fine. Those of you who like it - by all means, chuck out the money and encourage this kind of development. I won't be joining you.

@Edward ....seriously? whens the last time you saw any sort of action movie?most action movies are based around innocent peoples lives being in danger, and usually involve death itself. adults are allowed to decide if they want to play this. if you dont want kids playing it, DONT BUY IT FOR THEM!! i dont buy porn for kids then get disgusted when they see boobs

@GreyGeek wow...is all i can say.wow. i cant comprehend the stupidity behind this post. DONT BUY THE GAME IF YOU DONT LIKE IT. last i knew, unstable psychos will kill people regardless of a video game or not. its fine if you dont like it. DONT PLAY IT. dont try to get others to not play it just because of you unrealistic life views.
and training films? thats like saying you learn to ride a skateboard by playing tony hawk games.if pushing buttons and moving a joystick qualify as military training, then im a four star general.
and as a matter of fact, yes i do call this fun. i call this fantasy like every other game ever made. you miss a major point that your goal is not to kill innocent bystanders.
instead of complaining about how atrocious this game is, complain about how horrible our world is, because its just a reflection of society. f**king moron.
