Xbox 360: Metal Gear Solid 4 - Clue Spotting

when they first announced that Metal Gear Online would be a standalone game, it seemed that it was done so there could be a 360 version too, so MGS4 can stay PS3 exclusive.

I really think that it is very likely that MGS4 will end up on the 360. MGS2 made it to the original Xbox, so assuming that Sony aren't paying for exclusivity (they tell us they don't do that), then there doesn't seem to be any reason why MGS4 can't come go to the 360. And with the potential sales of an Xbox 360 version (as mentioned in the article), it would seem like a no-brainer.

I agree wiv ohms I can see MGO makin its way to 360, but very much doubt MGS4 will go the same way. For starters the game will have to be released across somthing like 8-10 discs!

That's a silly comment. A dual layer DVD can hold about 9.4GB. So are you saying the PS3's Blu-ray disc can hold 94GB?

The PS3's Blu-ray drive is so slow that most games seem to need a 4-5GB HDD install. So what's the difference in installing multiple DVD's to the Xbox 360 HDD. It would probaly be quicker than getting the data off the Blu-ray disc anyway.

Plus, how much of the PS3 versions GBytecount is fluff that could be compressed, omitted, or best forgotten...

Has anyone speculating 360 is getting it even played the game? Numerous times in the game the Playstation 3 is referenced.

1. Mk II Robot is controlled by a dualshock 3 controller.
2. Half way through the game Otakon tells you to switch to disc 2 then says o wait...we're on a ps3 and it has bluray.
3. It's mention somewhere when they are talking about how technology has advanced.

im sure people have heard that mgs1 could be on the 360, and yes it hasn't arrived yet. same for the ps3, it is supposed to be on psn, but it hasn't arrived yet.

just deal with it, mgs is on ps3 and if it does go to 360 eventually then whatever.

To bob: Why not? Are you afraid, that it might come to 360? Then why so? There is absolutely no logical reason for it to stay exclusive. 360 is easily capable of handling it and businesswise it would be a good decision, since they would make even more money, if it would be multiplatform.

First of all the 360 is not capable of running the game the way it was meant to. There are features only possible with blue ray. The audio audio and graphical quality would be severely diminished. Plus there are so many things seen and said in game that it would have to be completely redone. As those of us who beaten the game many times can play witness to. It would cost too much to make a 2nd version of the game. So quit talking about this rumor. Its never going to happen.

That's bullshit. Blu-Ray is only a storage medium. Nothing more. It has nothing to do with graphical or audio quality. Sure MGS4 would have to be released on four discs, but that's not really any kind of problem. Disc swapping every 10 hours or so is not such an issue that some would like to claim. Besides, after fall update one can copy entire games on 360 HDD, so it's even less of an issue. Port would foremost and only be a good business move. Games are made to make money, not to please fankiddies.

WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? at this point the 360 hardware can make better a smoother games than the PS3! MGS4 is plague by big framerate problems on the PS3!! problems that i truly believe that once the MGS4 engine gets optimal to function on the 360 hardware will go away! just compare RE5 engine and you will see that is 10 times more powerful than the MGS4 engine ,and runs on the 360 !! MGS4 textures are blend and horrible,wend the action gets serious the framerate goes deep below 30frames!and for the state the majoraty of multiplat games runs much better on the 360! IF you guys dont have a 360, go and buy one to state the obvious! because i own a PS3 and a 360 and can state the stuff in telling!like mr WADA says is SONY aiming for a high electronic devise or a game console ?? at this point i think is for the first option! and a dvd 9 can take 30GB OF DATA COMPRESSED !!

Are you for real, just check wiki and you WILL understand that the Xbox uses DVD DL, up to 8.5 gigabytes per side, per disc, compared with 4.7 gigabytes for single-layer discs.

Microsoft as the money and Konami needs it!!!!!
MGS4 is not selling that much on PS3, Konami will surely want more.......
