what they need to do is add a component video cable in the box or the HDMI and a game with a blue ray movie and they maybe have a chance to sell 3 a week.i work for best buy in the usa and i was surprise when i see that in the box theres no HD cables at all jus the av cables how in the world ypu gpoing to sell a HD video game console without the cables this is what hapend when you have a HDTV and you want a PS3 vs a 360.
1-PS3= 600.00 2-game-= 60.00 extra controler=50.00 component vide cables=60.00 or HDMI=100.00 a PS2 memory card adapter= 15.00 total $825(HDMI) OR $785 (component video)
xbox=400.00 + 60 a game and 50 extra controler =$510
How much do they pay these M$ fanboys to critise everything Sony does to make the already better console PS3 into a better one. When they should more complaining and whining to M$ since they have wasted their money on a defective product by M$ called Xbox 360 with its lifespan, overheated, scratching dics and quieter operational.
Anybody who pays $100 for an HDMI cable deserves to be ripped off on price. You can not get a poor HDMI cable, it either works or it doesn't. That's what digital means. I paid £8 ($16 ish) for mine and I have had no problems with it. It's gold-plated and 99.99% oxygen free too.

Why include this in the PS3 price when you have no equivalent on the 360?
Also where is the larger hard drive, wireless network adapter and memory card reader for the 360?
"We're looking at it as a marathon rather than a sprint…The real test of a platform's [longevity] is in three years from now or five years from now."
Sounds an awful lot like Microsoft 5 years ago... 25 vs 125 million consoles later. The fact of the matter is, a bigger install base = more games (go ahead and compare the "coming soon lists on DS and PSP). And, as every "console war referee" like to say: "fellas, fellas, it's all about the games".
Out of curiosity, any one know what the total number of xbox's sold in Japan was and how many 360's they have pushed so far. Sales of the 360 have been consistently "not horrible" lately so I'm very curious how things are going. Historically speaking. (sorry to lead a PS3 news post into xbox talk but it just occurred to me -v0_0v- ) ____________ ____________
if you think the 360 is more expensive then you are just retarded. i can buy a 360 plus 4 games for roughly what a ps3 costs. AND I GET A COMPONENT CABLE!
begin the console war will, when all are priced lower then 300 euro's...period, end of discussion. Both are bad deals...as gameconsoles and what are MS and Sony doing to make up...planning more expensive versions of their consoles, woohoo!
If the PS2 outsells the PS3 in Japan on a weekly basis...you know something is horribily wrong with your strategy, especially because the Japanese have a tendency to drop the older hardware like a brick and directly go for the newer one.
I must admit that i really love my 360 now and i do want the 360 Elite when it comes out but even so that will still be cheaper compared to the PS3. I live in Guernsey where we are graced with no VAT and i am also graced by working at a company that sells the consoles.
This means that i can buy the console for roughly £350 after VAT taken off and my discount. We don't have a price yet for the 360 Elite but i think i saw normal RRP between £380 and £420 for the premium pack. So after VAT i can probably pick one up for around £300 - £350 (Possibly, also bear in mind that we have not been confirmed the price yet so i cannot say for certain).
I'm not trying to start any fights or anything but if all this is correct then the 360 Elite will still be better value for money compared to the PS3 and the PS3 has 60GB hard drive, an AV cable, a demo disc, of course Blu Ray and a controller i beleive. The 360 Elite (Premium) has 120GB hard drive, component/av cable (same cable as was in the normal 360 premium pack), Wireless internet capabilities, a built in HD DVD drive and a headset (i think).
Someone please tell me if i am wrong as i will gladly bow down and admit i am wrong as i could be about a couple of things.

You are incorrect (i think), no Wifi, built in. They do love selling those $100 adapters after all. Fecking rip-off. (though if we are playing the pricing game you can get a USB bridge for like $25-$30 online) _________
