well i swore off nintendo consols after throwing $50 down the toilet for an N64. but nintendo really seems to have this revolution thing planned out. they realize that if this sinks like the GC they're no more. if it's actually cheap ($199) you can bet i'll buy one before an xbox or ps.
So, an online system for a handheld that only has 3 online games (Tony Hawk DS is online too) has beaten Xbox Live allready in terms of market penetration... Maybe this free online stuff does work better then charging any kind of money for some P2P gaming...what Xbox Live really is...a frikkin P2P network and they charge for it!
Isn't there supposed to be another 22 games planned for wifi? Remember that list that showed those 25 games coming with wifi. And don't forget tetris on march 20 which I am looking forward to. So we can only imagine what'll happen then.
The rise of an online DS can only bode well for the future of Nintendo, all they have to do is keep the online games coming and improve any service flaws.
More users than Xbox Live already and not bad considering its free to have a burst of online Mario Kart.
The likes of Metroid Hunters and Tetris will prove interesting gaming in March.
Perhaps I might even try some of my japanese DS games online too, if they have those options.
