Seems the BAFTA panel of judges haven't got a clue and maybe judging on looks alone. Who are these people to choose such titles and do they buy games often? I doubt it and these are the kind of choices the mainstream are likely to make.

Get it right next time BAFTA, you slags.

I saw these awards yesterday, and I can't believe that some of these companies are actually going to be able to slap a BAFTA on their packaging.

I agree with Joji. These awards are a joke. Get it right BAFTA or don't do it at all.

Edit: Complain to BAFTA at:

This has to be the most pathetic board of judges known to mankind. And unfortunately, it's the path most media is taking; giving awards to the crappiest game possible, as to force the 'true' gamer into a corner of the room, feeling ashamed of him/herself for prefering the not-so-popular product.

This is sick beyond belief. Why doesn't anyone put a stop to this? All it does is make the industry duller and duller by the minute, by no chances are they making it more attractive to the newcomer.

I will now add BAFTA to my hate-list, along with RIAA, MPAA and those crappy songs the Simpsons sing half-way through the show

I thought i smelled something fishy when reading an article about the awards yesterday cause i was sure warrior within was the s**ter sequel to the recent reworking of prince of persia.

Awards ceremonies are all back slapping piss unless they're voted by the (carefully vetted) public

Guys...stop your complaining for just one minute here. Do you think that maybe...just MAYBE...Warrior Within MIGHT be deserving of best Gamecube game of the year?

what in front of paper mario, tales of symphonia, metroid prime 2, and pikmin 2? in which all four were rated above warrior within in almost all reviews.

The GC version of warrior within was the best console version because it didn't suffer the same glitches as the xbox and ps2 versions but still noway does it deserve best gamecube game and it didn't even get nominated in the same category for almost all the other award shows

I'd go for Tales of Symphonia. My fave GC game.
