@Ryan550 well if thats the case you culd pick up a second had wii with GC compatibility for £50 or even a GC for £15. if the price of this wii was right £60 max i would get 1 but as the wii u is just around the corner think i will wait for that
I understand that but I am a little untrustworthy of anything pre-owned and my original comment was actually a joke as I am aware its difficult to get GameCube games these days especially specific ones that you wish to buy and that the majority that owns Gamecube games will either play them on the original Wii or not wish to play them at all. However my second comment was not a joke as I do have an old white version that no longer works with no motion plus but like you, I am waiting for the Wii U (please redesign the tablet Nintendo...)
I have a broken wii, the disk drive doesn't work so we currently use it to stream I player to the bedroom. in a way if they stuck on a DVD player it would me a nice little media center for spare rooms around the country. I may pick this up to replace my wii, but i actually would miss the Game cube connectivity as i still fire up rouge squadron and only re bought eternal darkness again a few months ago... not forgetting my half played copy of Killer 7!
I loved the GameCube.. had so many amazing games.. and you just named one! Killer 7, which may I ask here.. Did that game do horrible in sales? I honestly cannot remember but I assume it did considering there was no sequel. It is a game I would love to play again or even better.. get revived as a franchise.
Blood spraying out of your enemies neck in Cel shading = Win.
(Just realised how that last comment could be taken as "sick" but its staying put.)
Anyway yes I once considered getting a new Wii awhile back but like headcasephil said, the Wii U is near (well next year) and it is enough for me to hold back on spending £80 for the time being as I am planning on getting Deus-Ex Human Revolution (which despite the fact I wanted it for ages.. Haven't actually bought it yet)

I know the Wii sells very well but instead of it being "family edition" it should be called "F**k the last Gen Edition"
