I'd love to see 3D on here as an option, but it wouldn't mix well with touch-screen play. For movies and games that mainly use the buttons it would be fantastic, but having to touch a 3D screen would kill the effect.
@PurpleGekko Unless you use the touchpad on the back. Take Little Deviants as an example. If 3D was implemented then it would have been a great mini-game. With you pushing at the back the hills could jump of the scene or making the Deviants jump would be a great effect.
My own console was going to use a back touch pad, but never got there.
3D another lost opportunity for Sony, do they work for Nintendo, they were great "oh, no CD, people still want cartridges.. oh, no DVD they just want a useless disk without it.., oh, no HD, thats not going to catch on in time, and what ever other less sensible thing they have ever said.. On the other hand, we have Sony, holding back on the multimedia revolution (unless you buy their very expensive other hardware) they talked about at the release of the ps2.. Get rid of both of them, just sick of this denial of what is best for the customer and manipulation.
If 3D is useless on a hand held, then how can a glasses dependent 3D be any better on a television? One of the things they lacked, and they leave it out. When they don't come out with it, and Apple has it, people likely wont be back.
Purple, not such a problem, you could have on screen control to the sides in their own plane, or as monkey said etc.
