@sda The original commenter didn't say "killing of anyone is not OK", he said it's not a fun thing to do, and it shouldn't be. In war there is people fight other armed people like themselves, the good people fight on the side of good. Fighting evil armies or evil monsters is acceptable to a point - as long as it's done in the name of good and teaches the player to respect unarmed or non-evil creatures. This is the key, not all game action is bad, playing on the side of evil is evil.
What? What? We must actually kill civilians in the game? I mean, watching an horrible scene is something, but it's all there for the story telling. I mean, we're having a game about war, so let's not pretend war is a fun thing... but actually taking up the controller and shooting people? Bleh, i sure hope i'll be able to complete this level without shooting a single bullet... poor guys!
greygeek your pretty stupid for actually talking like politicians to this game.. its a GAME, yeah its crazy if u think about it in real life, but thats what separates it from being real and fake.. i do hope nothing like this happens, even tho it does, but experiencing it in a game is completely different and having to see what goes on.. dont worry about those stupid kids that wanna act like this in real life, until they post this on their shirt saying CALL OF DUTY 2: MODERN WARFARE , and start shooting people up in LAX, thats when u blame them.. not like the virgina tech kid that had his own reasons to do this in real life.. so do all of us a favor, stop b_tching, you sound like my mother
When people talk about how 90% of Americans are ignorant, they are talking about you. No one gives a s**t about morals when playing a video game, nor does anyone give a s**t about your opinion when it comes to video games because by simply having that opinion, it proves that you don't play video games. Don't tell me im a bad person because im not going to boycott a game that you know nothing about. Frankly, killing people is fun as hell, especially when there are no consequences for it. Im gonna buy this game, play through this scene, shoot "civilians" straight through their ignorant little hearts, watch them squirm and die in agony, and not lose one second of sleep about it. Just like every other person who will play this game. Have a nice day. @Boycott_Evil
lol @ all of the people saying this is wrong. Seriously? "This game shows a perfect way on how to shoot up an airport and be a terrorist.". Really now? So you think its just that easy to walk into an airport (a Russian one at that) with M240's and start blasting without ANY retaliation? People, its a VIDEO GAME. Its rated M for a reason. If you cant handle this, maybe you shouldnt be buying a game that actually shows the "Mature" nature of the M rating. Its pixels for crying out. Whats the difference between virtually shooting a civilian pixel over a terrorist pixel? I can tell you right now that NOBODY who plays this is going to think "Hey, that seems like a great idea! Lemme just get all of my terrorist buddies and belt-fed weapons and shoot up the nearest concentration of civilians!".
is acceptable to a point - as long as it's done in the name of good and teaches the player to respect unarmed or non-evil creatures. This is the key, not all game action is bad, playing on the side of evil is evil.
Boycott evil games!
