Doh! I'm obviously talking about stand alone living room dvd players. Read, digest and understand in context of the post. That's the nearest thing PS3 is in line with. Like I said, I'd rather have a dvd recorder, knowing I can get those footy moments onto dvd, even though normal dvd and not Blu Ray/HD-DVD.
I'm not talking about bloody laptops and PCs. But while you mention them, again it will be ages before that same recordable tech trickles into cheaper living room product. That all I was trying to say.

I don't see the advantage of DVD here - you can get a DVD player with a hard disk for £80 from Argos, so presumably you could buy a Bluray player with a hard disk to record programmes on for nominal extra cost? I would imagine these are on the market? (Does anyone here know if they are?)
Which wholesale site have you seen it for this price (£1250.00). We've seen it last week, but now cant find any for that price?

Hang On. Prices are already dropping. Amazon and Play re selling it for £399.99 (oh how I long for the 99p coin). I've see it being sold wholesale 5 for £1250.00 that's £250.00 each. And ten for £200.00 each.
