Haven't bought it and won't be buying it until they bring back dedicated servers. Have seen it on a friends PC though and the whole connection interface is slow and painfully random.

By the way : If any of you that are complaining about this signed the petition and still bought it, well, you deserve what you get.

So I'm another of the few who signed the petition and never bought the game (signed ONCE I might add, while getting my friends to sign.) and right now, I'm superbly happy with my decision. Screw all this CoD nonsense, I'm just gonna wade it out till' the true hero to shine: Medal of Honor. In the meantime, beta testing HoN is fun, along w/ playing other games (and old ones) -- at least until the beloved Starcraft 2 comes out. Anyways, good luck to all you poor souls who got what they knew was coming. Oh. And I believe November 10th Should be a holiday. I'm thinking "Epic Fail Day" Featuring Infinity Ward.

Single player has been amazing but disappointed that its back to CSS movement :(

The multi player is just crap, going into a lobby and automatically being put in a game... sad.
The lag from the servers is horrible due to no server support. The max size for FFA is lame. Sticking with MW since 2 is fail

I like others signed the petition and refused to buy the game even though it is my job to have it. Also like others said, if you purchased the game then it is to late to complain. IW have taken your money so are laughing all the way to the bank and it confirmed to them that they can move on to the next step. Stop playing the damn game online at least and don't buy any of their products again.

Some of you do, but others don't don't get it. The whole IWNet is really just a customer management system with a very poor P2P multiplayer thrown in. It needed to be put in place so that later, they can begin to switch over to a Contend Pay system and a Pay to Play system. But first they needed to kill off dedicated servers and the map, mod community. MW2 is their test bed for this. Thanks to all those that bought the game, you just helped move this one step closer so they can screw you over even more. I hope you all enjoy paying even more for games in the future as that is what this is about. Picking your pocket more. The scale is still very big and the profits just to tempting. A dollar on this scale is still millions in potential profit.

My opinions are from working in and around the industry for many years. I've known for a long time that game developers and publishers have wanted to move to a pay to play system. But they needed the technology that was workable and a way to kill off the dedicated servers and the communities that grew up around them. Now that consoles have moved closer in ability and the sales figures are right, IW is just the first to test the water with a major game title. What people like Bowling are saying, is just 100% PR and not related to the truth nor admitting their real agenda. Watch them dance if you turn up the heat. However they will still try to move this forward in stages. I'm not privy to their 'road map', but they have one, i can assure you.

Keep feeding the monster and it grows stronger not friendlier, it will eventually eat the whole village. Of that you can be sure. Anything else is just hiding your head in the sand. Everyone needs to get some balls and just not buy their products. It is the only way. PC sales still represent Ten's of millions of dollars and they don't want to leave that money on the table, no matter what console sales are. They will make what PC gamers want, if you stop buying their products. It is still a sales segment worth paying attention to. They still want to take your money but expect a fight to keep more in your pocket. Greed has no boundaries, but they will change if you use the power of the consumer. If PC consumers act like sheep, as they believe you are, then you get what you deserve, just like the 'other' platform segments that are happy with second best. PC consumers still have power, but many seem to have forgotten how to exercise it. It is real power and they will notice if you people would just get's some balls. Wake up and walk the talk or expect to get eaten. Baaaa!

Another small comment. These new systems are not about controlling piracy and cheating. Even if piracy was controlled and it is to a degree for MP and some newer games, it would not mean cheaper and better games with these major titles. It would just mean more profit and not about giving back any of it. They aren't a charity. It's also not about cheating. They really don't care about that. It's only a consumer demand they responded to out of necessity as games with anti cheat did sell better. We proved that years ago. If game companies and publishers were concerned about cheating so much, they wouldn't sell off legit cd-keys to a few wholesalers for next to nothing. They would also turn off those cd-keys that get out in the wild right at the master authentication servers, but they rarely have ever done that and they do know what ones are out there. I won't bother with VAC. Those in the know about both AC systems know VAC is a joke compared to PunkBuster.

** I'm not addressing console (only) players here, so you have no business commenting on this PC issue, nor is your generally uniformed opinion desired as it's often just distracting. Most of you have no idea about PC games, nor are most of you any more than casual players. It's noticeable when you make comments that don't make sense and you aren't aware they don't. That's why you like your consoles, no need to use your brain, nor get into any kind of community. So you don't want what you don't have or understand. You are used to the reduced level of play and interaction consoles offer etc. That's fine, but it makes your opinions in the PC segment usually not relevant, nor informed. It is like a kid pulling on your pant leg when adults are talking, so just stop it. The other oddity going by the writing style that appears of about a grade 6 level, that most that do try to comment are children or ADD sufferers or both. You shouldn't be playing a mature rated game anyway. That maybe harsh but it's close to the truth. So please just hold off comment instead of being impulsive. It only proves my point further. I'm not trying to be mean, but it is only rude and distracting to the issue. So please just don't

ye. What more to say? Rage.

Don't buy the game...for the sake of PC Gaming DONT buy the game. Acquire the game through other means (second hand sales, obviously). There are still plenty of other publishers and developers who aren't trying to sodomise us so buy their products instead.

The real Modern Warfare is PC Gamers VS IW/Activision. The battle lines have been drawn and we already picking a side by buying or not buying this *** stain.

Just remember this: Xbox 360 users have to PAY to play their games they've ALREADY PAID FOR online. Fanbois please feel free to explain that to me?! = STEAM.

Don't support IW / blatant profiteering!

Almost every other game I go into has someone wall hacking shooting through walls. the level skull prestige players running around head-shotting everyone instantly aren't amusing either. mw2 for pc fails hardcore. if you haven't bought the game yet, i'd steer clear of it and find something better to play.

I still constantly see hackers playing this game. The "big" ban did nothing. IW is doing a terrible job and needs to bring back servers immediately.

Well, I've been playing MW2 since the forst day it came out and was willing to live with the dissapointing lack of dedicated server support up until about a week into my game playing experience. Since then I have been ABSOLUTLY F**KING LIVID at the amount of wall hacking and aimbotting. There is no recourse for those of us playing the game. Steam does not collect any info from gamers, IW and Activision do not seem to give a crap. Truly, I think they are leaving themselves open to a class action lawsuit. The online experience is terrible right now.
