You know this is good news (which I first thought was an early April Fools). Back in the day, I couldn't afford a Sega Saturn, next to having an N64, so I missed out on the Nights games. I felt they weren't a patch on Mario 64, but done something good and different in their own right.
Glad to see Sega getting with the program, and giving gamers a long overdue twilight adventure. Would be sweet if we got the originals included as a free bonus too. I also think that Sonic SotR shows that Sega still have it when they try hard enough.
After Nights, maybe the can get back to sorting out the Shinobi series, after that horrible Saturn version.
Saturn was my favourite console. I loved NiGHTS, although the experience wasn't complete without Christmas NiGHTS as well, which has more long term value, thanks to time attack and link attack modes, as well as time-specific features. I didn't buy a Xbox, PS2 or Gamecube...although I did win a PS2 in a compo, that generation of consoles never interested me much, and likewise X360, PS3, Wii, etc - nothing has made me want to buy any of 'em yet. But a new NiGHTS game could just clinch it, and make me get a Wii. ^_^ =P That's if it's any good. It could be some kinda novelty spin off. I'll wait and see.

I waited a year and a half for the N64, going without Christmas and birthday presents, just to get one at launch, but although I loved Mario64, the other games never did it for me. Luckily my Dad spent a load of money on my sister's education in the US and wanted to even the boat for me, so offered to buy me a second console...so I got the Saturn, and never looked back.
Am looking at all the previews of Virtual Fighter 5 on PlayStation3, and thinking: Ahhh! But is it as good as Fighter's Megamix for the Saturn??

Me to, I always wanted to play on Nights but have never managed it :( One game I'm really gutted to have missed out on. This could me me buy a Wii

Yeah, I forgot about the PS2 Shinobi. Maybe Sega should take hints from Tenchu and Devil May Cry to fix that series. I'm all for Sega recapturing their past form though, they seem to have become a spent and forgotten force of late. Let hope things are getting better.
I managed to get a Saturn from Ebay, to enjoy some classics but Nights I don't have.

If we're talking about returns of SEGA games as well, from what I've seen Sumo Digital look like they are the nuts at doing the company proud (what with Outrun2 and Virtua Tennis 3 and all).
... Well which is it? A new game or a remake?! Get your story straight, Spong.
Hi, welcome to the SPOnG forums. It's usuallu nicer if your first post isn't spite filled hater nit picking. But I'm sure you'll be back loads of times in future to put things right.
what i find funny is that he went to the hastle to get an,avatar, sign up,give email address etc.....just to complain.
Have you been on the inter-tubes long? I'd say 90% of the people on any forum probably belong to ten other forums and almost all of them simply so they can complain about others posts.
I've actually been giving myself a migraine going around and reading what other people have written about this story then seeing all the f**kers in the comments sections going "confirmed by SPOnG? More like made up by DOnG! HAr HaR hAr!!1". Not to mention most reports on this link to other sites that link to us. Is it really that hard to link to the actual source? C**ts ;)
Though very rarely does anybody on those other sites come back here and say "you was right, mate" to make up for their baseless accusations. They just wait for the next time and accuse us of lying again.

That is what gets my goat a little bit - someone from my own site, upon reading this news, said "take with a grain of salt - it _is_ Spong after all". I'm sorry, but as much respect as I have for IGN and all the others, it's annoying that people wait till they speak and then go around saying "Gosh, look what Gamespot's discovered!".
