The next gen differences are going to be really nothing but a bunch of hyped about there system about we have a cell processor, revolutioning the gaming world and yadda yadda. I think the war of all 3 system are going to be up to "posers" a.k.a mainstream gamers cuz they make up about 80% of sales in the gaming world and the other 20% is hardcore gamers so what ever system that look the coolest of all 3 system or maybe i should say 4 cuz i think EA is going reveal a system cuz their going on a shopping spree so yea, what ever system that looks cool enough to buy thats who going to win the war these coming years.

P.S. R there anymore hardcore gamers

Don't flatter the hardcore sector. It represennts only about 5-10% of the market.

Plus these users are harder to win over from their existing console prejudices, and harder to please. The corporations that run gaming today do not care about the hardcore gamer any more than the Hollywood studios care for the "film lover" - most of whom would rather have their eyes plucked out by ravens than see another movie starring Tom Cruise.

Collateral was surprisingly good, IMO.

Hmmm. I've heard it said.

But can you give us some context, what are your five favourite movies?

Oh no, not that; it varies month-on-month, year-on-year.

In no order:

Raider of the Lost Ark
2001: A Space Odyssey
Jaws
Matrix (is this getting clichéd?)
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

Like I said, ask me again in a month and it will probably require some alterations!

Don't know if you lot are already aware of this, but the PS3 might be just a little pokey. Apparently, the Cell processor will run at 4.6Ghz... and the PS3 will have 4 of them!

How this compares to the Xbox 2's three 3.5ghz Power PC G5 CPU's, and it's 500mhz ATI graphics card will be interesting. Mr Blachford seems to really like the Cell though.

I know it's "all about the games", but sometimes I can't help myself with tech specs.

Sure it's not 3 cores? And I'm pretty sure it's still 2 G5s?

Cell should be really interesting in the same way the Bluray will be interesting. They're technologies Sony and Co want to push mainstream but maintain control over.

I still want to know how Ninty are going to counteract these powerful machines. I don't buy their innovation line any more.

With no official announcements on final spec, I'm not sure on anything... ... at least in regards to next gen consoles :)

I'm basing my 4 Core and 3 G5 info on 2nd hand investigation/ speculation.
