No, I didn't. You know how getting through this firewall can be :)
As far as I can see, this could be its saving grace. As you drive around the island in single player you occassionally get indicators showing where other drivers are. If you pass one, you can challenge them to a race for cash.
I figure that these will be real opponents when played over Live, which makes for quite a nice, living island full of other players.
totally agree with your previous comments on the game and the online part - although i cant justify paying £40.00 just to muck around on a bike with others (the only part of the demo that kept my attention)
I did have a report (not mine obviously!!) that showed total sales by region for games that was done around the time of the 1st Forza game, basically showed that driving Sims sold best in Europe whilst driving arcades sold best in the states.
I'll see if I’ve still got it on the home PC later
They still mandate them on games and regulate the amount and point total-difficulty balancing. They have quite a hand in it. This has been cited everywhere.
Aww, it's so cute when you make stuff up. I dunno about you (thats a lie, i do actually) but i was at GDC this year. I sat in on MS developer conferences. I heard peopel from MS talking about how achivments and gamerscore points are handled. MS does not control the points. All they say is that in order to pass their certification a game MUST HAVE 1000 points worth of achivments. No more, no less. That can be 1000 1 point achivements or 1 1000 point, or any thing in between. How, where, and why those are devided up is up to the developers. MS is helpfull in siting examples of games that have done it well, but they DO NOT CONTROL IT.
Next time you feel like makeing up a story why don't you try sighting one of these reports that are "Everywhere".

Ah, the old raging wall of hellfire. You need to get that sorted really - then you'll be able to play Texas Hold 'Em with idiots the world over!

I think that is definitely more what the game is striving for, and it's a nice idea really, as long as they manage to get it right.
Did you get my email from earlier in the week, BTW?

TBH, I think it has been, but I'm not sure there's a spare network port in the in the room with the mega plasma. Given a bit more time I might hav tried it, but it was getting on a bit last night.

Oh the thought make me quiver with anticipation.
...I think I'll hold out for some of the other "little" projects you've got going on over there :)

No, but I think it might have lost a few mails due to a crash - did you send it late Monday morning? Resend it and I'll get back right away.
