Yeah, Rare are allegedly reworking the game due to the proper dev kits only being released 10 days ago and such negative reaction. It was, as they say, a prescreen alpha, not fully rendered. At least, that is what they are saying...
Fsck me - that's a lot of effort (how many man years?) to get the a frickin' pre-screen alpha.
It was a show for casual/non-gamers and not people who spend everyday on websites trying to find out what color fecies J Allard has and if Ken Kutaragi has an actual mech protecting his home.
In that sense it did its job because lots of non-gamers saw it and enjoyed the show. It wasn't meant to please us. E3 is for us. So I don't know why the lot of you have your panties all up in a bunch when the show wasn't even tailored to please you... the fact it was on MTV (essentially the anti-gamer) should have clued you in.
