Right, well, SPOnG's NXE Avatar is a dapper character. Probably more dapper than yours in fact.

Here it is:

So, what does yours look like?

Cheers

I do not have one yet.

But if I am not mistaken, SPOnG's atavism has the hips of a female bloke (forgive my dialect, I have spent the last few months in Australia, though I did fly home to vote since I had forgotten to register for a postal vote) and the chest of a male one.

The clothes are not particularly stylish, does the NXE wardrobe leave something to be desired? I love the Dia De Los Muertos face though!

is there only one hat? Or is that hat you're both wearing WAY cooler than all the rest?

There are 6 other headgear selections, I could make the argument that the trilby I'm currently sporting is the only "real" hat of the lot. Theres 2 beanies with visors (one is pink) and 4 caps, (2 baseball, a trucker, and a hunter with earflaps up) so yeah, the trilby dominates on style points alone. Were I younger and cooler I guess I could rock the trucker in the name of rampant irony, but I've never been much for (baseball-style) caps at all, and Gibson using the term "meshbacks" as a derogatory slang for his white trash of the future kinda poisoned that well for me permanently. Plus, I always found them cheap and uncomfortable.

I'd like to see a "fishing hat" (sans lures) or perhaps a "driving cap", (izzat what they call and Ascot?) I'm kinda surprised they don't have a beret, not that I'd rock one....

Also, they need a top hat (and tails, to go with the available monocle) something brimmy, and vaguely Southern in white (to go with the "morning suit"), a fedora, and a cowboy hat of some type or description.

Bloody hell, it's like reading a 100 yard habadash.

I would vote for a fishing hat but ONLY if there were also flies to be purchased as additional DLC from Rare. Really expensive ones created by a single designer sitting in Tasmania doing scrimshaw as his other line of revenue.

Sorry, after a lifetime of being so not a "hat guy", I've finally worked my way through denial and 8" of hairline to find I have Opinions on the subject. *gasp

The fishing hat is a tribute to fallen brothers...also, me mum absolutely hates it.

Plus, he did ask.

Hats have always been dear to me. Not because my brother's bald by 24 schtick showed me my future (I was 12 at the time and I have not quite followed him into total baldness), but because I have always liked them.

It is important to me that my Avatar (when I choose to make one) could/will have a nice hat selection from which to choose. S**t, I could even see myself paying for downloadable hats. This is bad. This is VERY bad.

First up, it's only bad if we're not monetizing the NXE hat trade.

Secondly, I honestly don't remember the last time I saw you in a hat (of course, as I am going blind, that means very little).

Thirdly, can we all stop talking about hats, it's making me vaguely uneasy. I would prefer - as ever with me - to talk about pwning noobz and that kind of thing.

Tim

PS: a telescoping top hat (for use at the opera) would be an excellent addition.

Well, according to MS, there will be (what I assume will be free) new avatar content available biweekly, and I'd like to think they'll be throwing us a bone shortly, as the hat selection is currently anemic.

My uncle on me mum's side (the ones that count for baldy genetic purposes) was already well on his way at 18 (no pity for him, he was always a prick)...took me a bit longer, and I had hoped I'd dodge that genetic bullet, as I had a rather luxurious mane, with a gentle wave that the ladies both admired and envied. Going the full on bald route isn't for me, as I find the sight of my own skull disturbing, its a very skullish-looking skull, reminiscent (to me at least) of the "death's head" of SS caps, and I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for a hairstyle resembling my own.

Touke: "A land where unicorns run rampant and leprechauns feast themselves on the flesh of children while prancing around sideways in God's chariot."

Eh?

Mark, stop doing drugs at work.
