i just wanted to see how many of you are going to buy the revolution, i will be, will you buy it and a ps3? i would like to hear from all of you just to see how popular it is.
I'll be investing in one. I feel Nintendo has the cards up their sleeves to pull off something special. I also like the idea of cheap Rev game development for the smaller studios who have great concepts but little money.
I might bag a 360 or PS3 on the side though. Good games can be on either of these three.
hope so, it's definately the one I want to get the most.
would like to get a PS3 at some point too, mainly cos I still have a lot of old psx and PS2 games, so there's more incentive to get that over a 360, but the revo is the priority.
Thing is I heard it's only about £2000 for a Rev development kit. This is damn good news for the likes of the mod community who spend their time creating their own content. Maybe some good games will come of it all.
i will definitly be getting one.i need something new something that will make feel more a part of the game. i can see myself getting a 360 because of lower price and more games on that,of which i want.360 is a maybe and will really depend on how impressed i am with revo.
If you want something, take it. There's no reason why we can't have things. If it costs $100 or a $1000 or a $10000, save up for it. We just priortize things, I put games about number three, just under shelter and food. Can't have games without those. I will be getting all three. Once I rid myself of these bills, I'm gonna be in gaming heaven.
I will either get a Revolution, PS3 or none. If Nintendo manage to show some software, some of it looks good and the PS3 is too expensive then I will go for the Revo. If Nintendo just produce gimmiks, and Sony prices the PS3 right, then I will go for the PS3.
Most likely is that I will not go for any of them and will get a PS2 instead.
Agreed. Most likely I'll get a Revo, unless something looks totally off with it, or the games don't look too strong (although I may still go for them if priced around 30-40 bucks, which given the supposedly cheaper dev costs, might be possible)
PS3 is a non-starter for me. There looks to be about a 2% chance that I will get one at this point. 360 will likely be my secondary system, once they get cheaper and have a Bungie game out there.
the only problem so far for you guys is software, this was a problem for the ds, sprung and rayman were point less but im sure with zelda, new mario, ssb, ff. crystal chronicles and more confirmed there will be a wide range of original games.
I'm going to remain firmly uncommitted to buying a Revolution until I play some actual software. This is because it may well take some time for the developers to get used to the system and it's features. There's a bit of a precedent for this.
The DS is a system with some excellent games now, but even at the UK launch there was only really Project Rub if you wanted something new. Much of the early software was really experimental stuff which was fun for a while, but lacked substance. Nine months down the line was a much more sensible time to get it, with Mario Kart DS and Sonic Rush out (and with some rather funky games on the way too).
As for other systems, I'm not basing my decision on one console around my feelings towards another. I'll get an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 when they have the games and I have the cash.
no. i used to be interested in nintendo some years ago, but ever since they've been falling apart, (making crappy systems and games) i have moved away from them. And now, i am a Sony guy all the way. so i am def. lookin foward to the PS3 (especially since i have the psp).
