That's right. We've waited for the DS RTS challenge to kick off properly and no one has stepped into the ring .....until now.

This may seem vague but checking over at dvdboxoffice.com a new entry for this game has appeared on their DS game list, slated for October 2005 via the folk at Majesco.

If it's correct info, what a sweet addition this would be for christmas. Hopefully this will pus EA into sorting out C&C on DS. For those of you that signed that C&C DS petition this is music to your ears I hope. Fingers crossed that Majesco pull off a decent conversion. Can see this really selling the DS at christmas though, but will any other RTS games join it from anyone else?

Maybe Spong crew can shed on this whole thing later and ask Majesco directly.

I guess this is just the beginning and there will be more RTS games as time passes. Starcraft would be cool like many others.

Such a damn shame we have to wait til October to play Age of Empires. Suppose there will be Advance Wars DS before that to ease the pain mind.

Have to be honest I never played the Age of Empires games series on the PC due to upgrade issues etc, and a lot of toher RTS games since for the last few years I have missed.

This would be the coolest thing if it's well implemented, maybe using the touchscreen as the main view to select units with the stylus. Actually, if the dpad could flip the views on the bottom, you could alternate between different views, from map to unit creation to the main game view, and still be able to operate all with the stylus, maybe, guess we'll see what works best.

Hopefully it'll sell well, then Blizzard and Westwood (or what's left of it) will follow suit.

EA has raped command and conquer. I see nothing to look forward to RA about.

If EA do put their hat in the RTS ring Red Alert would be nice. Hopefully it would keep up to speed in siingle and multiplayer.

I do agree C&C has gone down hill but this is what happens when EA lose focus of what makes a series good. Wonder which game series will be next to turn from gold into cheese?

The touch screen would make this possible, but can you really play Age of Empires without a keyboard and mouse?

Remember that alcohol is bad. Rather like pornography. Prehaps we should have a thread about that too ;).

I didn't realise that alcohol turns off brain cells, causing you to rely more on your "animal instincts". You loose rational thoughts (as we all know). If you drink far too much, then it shuts those down too, and hence you loose your balance and fall over.

Oh, the science of drunkeness!

And back on topic...

Now that I've upgraded my computer, my first task is to get Red Alert 2. Supposed to be excellent. "What's up? I'm there! Cha-ching!".

No this is the way it works.

I nature, any collection or organisms, be they a herd of wilderbeast or a bacteria colony, comply with the survival of the fittest law. This means that when members of the collection are killed, it is the weak and useless members that die first, leaving the whole better on average.

This also applies to brain cells when you drink. The cells that die first are the weak, stupid brain cells. As you drink, you kill these cells off and you actually get smarter!

This process continues to the point that about midnight on a normal night out, you have reached a higher state of conciousness and can truly comprehend the universe.

Unfortunatly these thoughts are too high level for a normal brain, so when you wake up in the morning you can't handle them, you forget the great thoughts. This confuses your brain and that's why you feel so bad in the morning.

It's simple really.
