Recently my parents sorted their loft out and retured a bag of N64 game boxes to me and my brother. thinking that this may be a good time to sell a few on ebay I got to work checking them out on the good old N64, but with such a blast from the past i thought i would write about what i played.

It is very true that many of the games have not aged all to good, I strugged to read the instructions on Mario Party 2 (god knows how i did it on a 14" TV through a coaxial cable!). Goldeneye was good to fire up and i did the last Temple Level with the golden gun, i was surprised that I remembered the sequence of floor tiles to walk on let alone get head shots!
I played a game of ISS 64, a level on Space Station Silicone Valley and then some of the Bot challenges on Perfect Dark (What has happened to Bots in FPS's) Pilot wings was a charm and mario tennis was much harder than i remember it being.
Micromachines took a fair bit of my time, as did Snowboard Kids and Diddy Kong Racing, which is weired as with this generation of consols i don't play any fun racers.
So it was a fun day of Retro Gaming but it did lift the rose tinted glasses view i had, and i still can't decide if i actually want to sell any of them. I think i might keep my retro gaming to nostalgic chats in the pub.

In all honesty I would say keep them... They are games that come from a golden age of gaming in my opinion.. Put this down to Nostalgia if you wish but i definitely believe with all the DLC story add on's games are getting these days (no more 1 off payments for the majority of story-based games) and how rushed the games are these days I definitely believe that the golden days of gaming are long gone..

I find it funny you mention that bonus temple level in Goldeneye because every time i think of that game I remember "Chasing that top hat dude with the long coat and no trousers who just wont die" which always makes me chuckle but that aside.. You mentioned where did the Bots in FPS's go these days and I agree I wish they would make a return but unfortunately all of the time (in terms of multi-player) the effort goes to online.

Besides unless they are all boxed and in mint condition I am not sure if you would even get much at all for them to be honest so in my opinion you might as well keep them unless I am wrong about their value.
