TimeSplitters Developer Announces Next Gen Game
Ubisoft has just announced its E3 lineup, with perhaps the most intriguing as-yet-unnamed title being Free Radical Design's mystery 'next-generation' project.

You will know Free Radical of course from their awesome Timesplitters games. Little is known about the new Free Radical title, other than it is an action game based on a new intellectual property targeted at a mature audience, but it’s now at the top of our ‘things SPOnG needs to find out from Ubisoft as soon as possible’ list. If Dave Doak and his crew up at Free Radical manage to work some of that Timesplitters magic, we are no doubt in for a proper treat.

Ubisoft has also just released details and pics (which you can see right here) on their new Rayman title - Rayman Raving Rabbids – with character art guaranteed to give any child nightmares for years. Rayman Raving Rabbids is developed by famed creative director Michel Ancel, and is billed as “the funniest and zaniest yet.”

The rest of Ubi’s E3 line-up includes Assassin's Creed, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Enchanted Arms (the first RPG developed exclusively for Xbox 360), Open Season, Red Steel (an FPS exclusive to Wii) plus of course, the obligatory Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas.

Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer of Ubisoft, contributes the necessary corporate press release quote, saying: “Our E3 lineup demonstrates Ubisoft’s profound commitment to the next-generation of video games…Ubisoft is very excited to be introducing ground-breaking new intellectual property and showcasing how we bring innovation to our best-selling franchises. Our award-winning development teams are pushing the limits of what can be achieved and leading the industry into the future.”

SPOnG is willing to bet money than Yves does not speak like this. Mainly because he is French.
