Sega is to ignore the upcoming Tokyo Games Show this spring, and for the first time in fourteen years, will show absolutely nothing. The TGS is one of the more important events in the international gaming calendar, and Sega declining to stand the show, or showcase any products, has raised eyebrows throughout the industry.

This news has fuelled rumours that Sega, following its recent announcement that the company is to phase out hardware production, is about to finalise its future plans.

The show will take place in Tokyo (surprisingly) between March 30th and April 1st. Perhaps Sega is planning a giant April fool before 12 on the final day. Hmmm, can’t see it somehow.
