After months of delays Dead or Alive 4 finally look's set to be released in the US today (28th December).
For those who have managed to get the rare, lesser-spotted new Xbox 360 console, this, the latest Team Ninja creation, is an essential purchase. If you have just about enough money for basic foods, we would advise you to starve and spend it on this game instead.
Indeed, the future of the Xbox 360 in Japan rests heavily on this late launch title so SPOnG will be watching the take up of the title in its country of origin very closely over the coming weeks.
Dead or Alive 4 will set the standard for next gen 3D high definition graphics with the astounding attention to detail from Team Ninja's development errr, Ninjas – where players can see each strand of their character's hair to each cherry blossom falling from the sky. What’s more, the games’ online capabilities via Xbox Live enables more players to play Dead or Alive 4 simultaneously and compete in Xbox Live tournaments around the globe.
The DOA4 online world also includes online lobbies featuring voice and text chat, detailed online scoreboards, and a feature that allows DOA fans to form clans while playing Dead or Alive 4 on Xbox Live. The game also features both new characters and old DOA3 favourites, including Christie and Brad Wong, all of whom have a variety of new hair-do's and costumes to rock while they fight!
All this, and no doubt much much more, is why we feel you, dear reader, would be better to buy this game as a priority over paying your rent or buying food.
