Sega announce must have robot iFish pet for Xmas
Whilst SPOnG patiently waits in hope for SEGA to develop its definitive Bass Fishing series for Xbox 360 and PS3, we can amuse ourselves with its latest iToy in the shape of a little fish.

Following the huge success of the cute iDog as a must have accessory for Generation iPod, Sega presents us with the iFish. Yes, its actually true and not an Internet hoax, as we first worriedly suspected it must have been.

Here’s the main USP - it moves in fishy ways when you play music for it. SPOnG is sold. Hook, line and sinker (sorry!). It also has some other features including creating sounds, lighting effects and acting as a loudspeaker when connected to a digital audio device. Much like an iDog really, but in aquatic form.

According to gadget blog, Gizmodo, the prototype was unveiled a few months ago at the Tokyo Toy fair and Sega just announced the launch for January 2006. So this Xmas’s new must-have toy is not available till January. SPOnG is no longer going to enjoy Christmas now – thanks Sega! Although seemingly they are available at www.plajapan.com for a mere $50

In light of today's disappointing news for Microsoft regarding poor 360 launch sales, SPOnG is confident that the demand for iFish’s will outstrip the demand for Xbox 360s in the very near future.
