Original Game Boy Up For Grabs at $25,000

Something to do with the gold and diamonds, we imagine.

Available for a price exceeding many a new car, Swiss Supply Direct is offering an original 1989 Nintendo Game Boy for the princely sum of $25,000, an unusual price for an antiquated handheld, we're sure you’ll agree.

The unit is made from solid 18 karat yellow gold and inset - no - encrusted with pave diamonds around the display screen. According to the sale, the machine is aimed at “The man who has everything,” promising an “unbelievable conversation piece” that “no one else will ever have!” You are promised “the ultimate in cool” with the Game Boy coming packed with some impressively old-school games including Game Boy Golf.

Should you wish to add this piece to your Christmas gift list, Santa will have to call 1-888-294-2221 and ask for the Spoilt Idiot Department for details.

Do you think they'll be selling "gold finish" and "cubic zirconia" versions of these down at the Elizabeth Duke counter at Argos? It'd be a Chav Christmas hit!

Oh goody, a brick for 25000 dollars! probably you can smash a PSP to pieces with it and it would still work (the brick Boy not the PSP).

Oh Snap! Come's with a free game of Golf! Been looking for that one for years.

But anyway, that thing would have to be heavy. Talk about "portable."
