RPGs can be one of the most involving gaming experiences that you are likely to experience. They are ridiculously addictive and can be more engaging than a good novel. RPGs are known for their strong stories where you are in control of the action. From the creators of the award winning Descent and Freespace series comes one role-playing game that you won’t want to miss.

The PlayStation 2 needs fantastic games throughout a multitude of genres to show off its technical abilities. Summoner is one of the first games on the PS2 to look truly shocking, the lighting effects and the level of detail make this game look almost realistic. Advanced graphics help create a more believable game world which consequently makes the playing experience more immersive.

The world of Summoner will be a complicated one, with over 120 characters to meet and interact with. Because Summoner is based squarely in the fantasy realm there will be plenty of dangerous monsters to slay and devastating spells to cast. The combat will be action based, a welcome change to the traditional turn-based approach usually offered by RPGs. You will be able to have up to your five people in party at any one time. Careful management of your parties’ resources will prove essential for victory.

Summoner’s are powerful people, they have been known to destroy empires with the demons they can summon. They draw their power from mystical rings crafted by the ancient Khosani. You must obtain these powerful rings if you are to stand any chance of saving your kingdom from complete destruction. There will be a total of sixteen different demons that you will be able to send into battle for you. With over 50+ hours of gameplay, Summoner is looking like the RPG to own on the PlayStation 2.
