The Game Boy Micro has sold 200,000 units in its first month on sale in Japan in a coup for the delightful new device from Nintendo. And in a bumper month for the Japanese company, the cute baby GBA came second only to the Nintendo DS, which sold 240,000 units, buoyed up by the release of Super Mario Brothers and Tamagotchi.
For those of you who have picked the Nintendo fanboy side in the DS vs. PSP All-Forum Argument stand-off, you might like to use this figure as ammunition for the coming month’s debate: the Sony PSP lagged behind both selling ‘only’ 140,000.
Unless you’re one of the lucky winners of our own Game Boy Micro competition, you’ve still got a little wait ahead of you before you can get your mitts on one of these bright screened little beauties. The Micro hits the streets here on November 4 and will be priced at £69.
