As if you hadn’t had enough juicy Su Doku revelations today, there’s news of another game celebrating the joys of the Japanese numeric puzzle. That’s right, in Empire Interactive’s six monthly financial report it reveals the game it hopes will turn around their flagging fortunes: Carol Vorderman’s Su Doku!
You see, Carol doesn’t only spend her time endorsing cholesterol reduction products and exploiting the regard she is held in by a nation of teatime telly viewers by posing as the respectable face of TV loan sharks. She also likes to add to her already considerable wealth by throwing the full weight of her mighty mathematical brain into endorsing the puzzle craze – she released a best-selling Su Doku book earlier this year. And now she’s putting her name to this PC game to be released in time for the Chrimbo rush. It’s on PC so after you’ve journeyed into work Su Doking on your PSP you can settle down to a day of avoiding eye contact with the boss and having Britain’s leading populist mathematician give you a few pointers on your ‘game’. Factor in the two or three that you get in the paper every day and it’s possible that you’ll be able to spend the next year or two doing nothing but Su Doku. As for who wins the Christmas Su Doku showdown, we’ll have to wait and see. Let battle commence!
