Burn yourself to death – again!
It has emerged that the PlayStation 2 is the latest console to try and burn you to death while you sleep, with Sony recalling a whole load of AC adaptors this morning.
Some AC Adaptors, identified as manufactured between August 2004 and December 2004, and supplied with the black slimline PlayStation 2 models SCPH70002, SCPH70003 and SCPH70004 may overheat, causing injury to users. SCEE stated that some of these units may have been on sale after this date. No other PlayStation 2 units are affected. The units were on sale in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australasia.
To replace your AC adaptor before it replaces you, you’ll have to click here, fill in some forms and Sony will kindly post you another one free of charge.
Of course, this is only the latest attempt on your life the innocent-looking boxes of tricks have tried to pull, with Microsoft facing a similarly murderous situation with its Xbox earlier this year.
