Wild World set to explode online for DS

Animal Crossing DS: Renamed, new details!
Animal Crossing DS has been renamed, to Animal Crossing: Wild World and has been given a rough release date by Nintendo US of December 4th, 2005.

This news will no doubt bring a mixture of emotions ranging from complete apathy to jubilation and dread, such is the power of the Animal Crossing universe. Those who write the game off as a non-entity do so at their own expense, the hoards of gamers, both casual and hardcore, addicted to Nintendo’s N64-spawed life-sim proving otherwise.

The DS version makes full use of the DS’ stylus in all aspects of play, and will be Nintendo’s key online outing for the twin-screened portable. A massive global community should spring up, with the drones of the GameCube replaced with real, actual people.

Of course, the News of the World will soon be running a piece about how Animal Crossing is actually nothing more than a conduit to children for paedophiles - a great shame given the charming innocent beauty Nintendo is trying to create in its honour and positivity-driven emerging MMOG. Though the News of the World thinks that about everything. You could be forgiven for thinking the writing staff have something of a paedophile obsession.

Expect full details of Animal Crossing: Wild World, coverage of the News of the World’s peculiar child sex obsession, and other related goodies in the coming weeks and months.

Lol, it's funny because it's true.

I'd have preferred 'Wide World' than 'Wild World' as the latter sounds like some cheesy saturday morning kids show, or a nickelodeon bi-product.

Rest assured though; this will be in my DS for a long time!! I'm still deciding whether to import or not...

Yes you should. Animal Crossing was a great game. Even if the other residents were AI it didn't matter, as the social interaction was top notch. Very well programmed. It can only get better.

i coudl imagien spening a long time speakign with tom nook since most of the other "residents" will probably not have nearly as charming things to say as the originals... "nice shirt fag! you draw that yourself?!"... god love the internet... it makes me almost hope they dont figure out that they coudl voice chat with the things... as exciting a prospect as that is i dont think it woudl do well in anmimal crossing land... perhaps a non-typing structure liek in phantasy star online woudl be best.

I'm sure I'll find some people from some forums I know and then just stalk them in game. Fun fun fun.
